SQL for No Active Related Records

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

How would you write a SQL query to find records with no active related entries?

Use the records and related_entries tables. A related entry should exclude its record only when it is explicitly marked active.

Output

  1. Return one row per qualifying record with record_id and record_name.
  2. Include records with no related entries or no active related entries.
  3. Order by record_id ascending.
