Nested JSON Parsing for Licensing

MediumPython

Problem

Write a script to parse and format complex, nested JSON data representing regional licensing requirements, handling edge cases and missing fields gracefully.

Implement format_licensing_requirements(data), which accepts a dictionary containing a regions list and returns one deterministic, human-readable string. Each region may use name or region; missing names should be Unknown region, and null values should be N/A. Format nested dictionaries and lists recursively, preserving sorted object keys. Return No regional requirements found. when regions is missing or empty.

Constraints

  • data is a dictionary.
  • regions, when present, is a list.
  • Each region is normally a dictionary, but malformed entries may occur.
  • Nested values contain JSON-compatible dictionaries, lists, strings, numbers, booleans, or null.
  • Dictionary keys are strings.
