Your question is Month-End Close Process. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Can you walk me through how you would handle a month-end close process?

Explain the close calendar, ownership of reconciliations and journal entries, review controls, variance analysis, and the process for producing accurate GAAP financial statements. Address how you would identify and resolve unusual balances, late information, intercompany differences, accruals, and post-close adjustments. The response should distinguish between completing the close on time and ensuring the results are complete, accurate, supported, and properly approved.
