SQL MoM Growth for Customers

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to find the month-over-month growth rate of active customers using specific Fivetran connectors.

Use successful activity from the Salesforce and HubSpot connectors. A customer is active in a month when they have at least one successful activity during that month. Exclude the first month because it has no prior month for comparison.

Output

  1. One row per month after the first month with activity.
  2. Columns: month, active_customers, previous_active_customers, and mom_growth_rate.
  3. Return growth as a percentage rounded to two decimal places.
  4. Order chronologically by month.
