Your question is Migrate Traffic Between Switch Chassis. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Let's say old cables are connecting to a 6500 chassis, and traffic is flowing towards it. You want to migrate to a 9500 chassis. How would you route the traffic from the 6500 to the 9500? Would you move the cable from the 6500 directly to the 9500 chassis, or would you have a plan to offload the traffic from the 6500? How would you smoothly move the traffic from the 6500 to the 9500 with no or minimal impacts?

Asked in the phone screen stage. The discussion should focus on cutover mechanics, routing behavior, validation, rollback, and configuration sequencing.
