Max Value Function | Dataford Interview Questions

Write a function to find the maximum value in a list. Implement def find_maximum(values): and return the largest value in the non-empty list. The list may contain positive, zero, or negative integers, and the solution should not rely on Python's built-in max function.

Constraints

1 <= len(values) <= 10^5
-10^9 <= values[i] <= 10^9
The input list is non-empty
Do not use Python's built-in max function
