Math Problems, Object Oriented Design, System Design & Behavioral Interviews

Implement parse_interview_topics(text) to split an interview-topic string on commas, ampersands, and semicolons. Trim whitespace, discard empty entries, and remove duplicate topics case-insensitively while preserving the first occurrence and its original spelling.

Input: a string text.

Output: a list of topic strings in first-seen order.

Example: "Math Problems, Object Oriented Design & System Design" returns ["Math Problems", "Object Oriented Design", "System Design"].

Constraints: 0 <= len(text) <= 10^4; delimiters are ,, &, and ;.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(text) <= 10^4
  • Supported delimiters are comma, ampersand, and semicolon
