Your question is Managing Client Expectations. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

What strategies do you use to manage client expectations during a project? Please support your answer with a specific example from a client-facing engagement. Explain how you establish scope, communicate progress and risks, handle changing priorities, and respond when delivery may not match the original expectation. The interviewer is assessing proactive communication, judgment, ownership, and your ability to preserve trust while balancing client needs with technical and business constraints. A strong response should use STAR and include the actions you took, how the client reacted, and the measurable outcome.
