Iterate Arrays and Return Values

EasyPython

Problem

O'Reilly Auto Parts uses price data to help display relevant parts in search results. Given an array of part prices, return only the prices within a specified inclusive range, preserving their original order.

Formal Specification

Implement filter_prices(prices, minimum, maximum).

  • prices is a list of integers or floating-point numbers.
  • minimum and maximum are numeric bounds.
  • Return a new list containing every price price where minimum <= price <= maximum.
  • Do not modify the input list.
  • If no prices match, return an empty list.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(prices) <= 10^4
  • 0 <= prices[i] <= 10^6
  • 0 <= minimum <= maximum <= 10^6
  • The input list must not be modified
  • Matching prices must retain their original order
