Your question is Incremental vs Full Loads. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Explain the difference between incremental loading and full loading in an enterprise ETL pipeline, and when you would choose one over the other at MetLife.

Discuss the trade-offs in source-system impact, processing time, data freshness, recovery, data correctness, and operational complexity. Explain how you would detect changed records, make loads idempotent, handle deletes and late-arriving data, validate results, and decide when a full reload or backfill is necessary. Use a concrete ETL design and mention relevant technologies such as Apache Airflow, cloud object storage, SQL, or a data warehouse.
