Find Second Largest Number | Dataford Interview Questions

Given an array of integers nums, return the second largest distinct number in the array. If a second largest distinct number does not exist, return None.

Write a function that scans the array efficiently without sorting it. The array may contain duplicate values and negative numbers.

Formal Specification

Input: A list of integers nums
Output: The second largest distinct integer in nums, or None if it does not exist

Constraints

1 <= len(nums) <= 10^5
-10^9 <= nums[i] <= 10^9
Duplicates may appear multiple times
Return None if fewer than 2 distinct values exist
