SQL for High-Value Tax Returns

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to retrieve all customers with tax returns above a certain threshold at Jackson Hewitt.

Use $10,000 as the threshold. Treat a NULL return amount as zero and include only customers whose combined return amount is greater than the threshold.

Output

  1. One row per qualifying customer with customer_id, customer_name, and total_return_amount.
  2. Exclude customers at or below the threshold and customers without tax return records.
  3. Order by total_return_amount descending, then customer_id ascending.
