Your question is Handling Disagreeing Feedback. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Describe a time when you received constructive feedback on your code that you initially disagreed with. How did you resolve the situation?

Explain the specific feedback, why you initially saw it differently, and how you handled the conversation with the reviewer. The interviewer is assessing whether you can separate personal preference from engineering standards, investigate feedback objectively, and preserve a productive relationship during disagreement.

Use a specific example with a clear outcome. Strong answers show how you sought to understand the concern, evaluated evidence, changed your approach when warranted, and applied the lesson in later code reviews.
