Your question is Handle a Production Bug. Take a moment with it on the right.

Problem

A bug missed in production — how would you handle it?

Asked in the Round 1 stage. Explain how you would respond after discovery, including immediate containment, communication, investigation, customer impact assessment, and prevention. The interviewer is evaluating ownership, prioritization under pressure, judgment, and collaboration with engineering and product partners. Treat this as a practical response: describe the sequence of actions you would take, the information you would gather, and how you would balance restoring service with identifying the underlying cause. A strong answer distinguishes mitigation from root-cause analysis, communicates clearly without assigning blame, and closes with measurable corrective actions.
