SQL for Guest Satisfaction Trends

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to analyze guest satisfaction by ship and month, joining feedback, voyage, and operations tables to identify trends and outliers.

Use the voyage departure month as the reporting month. Include months with at least two rated feedback responses, and flag a month as an outlier when its average score differs from that ship's average monthly score by at least 1 point.

Output

  1. One row per ship and qualifying month.
  2. Return ship_name, month, feedback_count, monthly_avg_score, avg_delay_minutes, score_change_from_prior_month, ship_avg_monthly_score, and outlier_flag.
  3. Sort by ship_name, then month.
