Your question is GPU Performance Data System Design. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Design a system to collect GPU performance data.

Asked in the Zoom System Design Interview stage. The system design topic focused on collecting GPU metrics.

Discuss how you would instrument AMD Instinct GPUs, collect telemetry from hosts and clusters, process the data for dashboards and model training, and detect abnormal performance. Clarify requirements before designing. Address data schemas, agent and service architecture, batch and streaming paths, storage, ML-based anomaly detection, scaling assumptions, privacy and security, reliability, evaluation, and monitoring. Explain how you would handle missing data, noisy metrics, changing GPU or driver versions, delayed labels, and training-serving skew.
