Your question is Give Feedback to Junior Team Members. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

How do you give feedback to your junior team members? Asked in the screening stage. We want to understand how you make feedback specific, actionable, respectful, and useful for an engineer's growth. Describe how you choose the setting and timing, explain the behavior and its impact, invite the person's perspective, and follow up on progress. Strong answers use a specific past example, distinguish coaching from performance escalation, and show measurable improvement or a clearly defined development outcome.
