Generate Configuration Permutations | Dataford Interview Questions

Write a program to generate all possible permutations of a given set of configuration parameters. Implement generate_permutations(parameters), where parameters is a list of distinct values and the result is a list containing every permutation. Return permutations in depth-first order by selecting unused input values from left to right. The empty input has one permutation, the empty permutation: [[]].

Constraints

0 <= len(parameters) <= 8
Each parameter value is distinct
Parameter values can be strings, numbers, or other comparable Python values
Return exactly len(parameters)! permutations
