Fruit Objects Sorting

Fruit Objects Sorting

EasyPython

Problem

Write a fruit constructing machine that creates fruit objects and then sorts them based on what type of fruit is produced.

Implement construct_and_sort_fruits(fruit_types). The input is a list of fruit type strings. For each string, create a new object represented as {"type": fruit_type}, then return the objects sorted alphabetically by their type value. Sorting must be stable, so fruits with the same type retain their input order.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(fruit_types) <= 500
  • Each fruit type is a non-empty lowercase string
  • Fruit types may repeat
  • Sort order is ascending lexicographic order
