First Unique Stream Character

MediumPython

Problem

Find the first non-repeating character in a continuous stream of telemetry data.

Implement first_non_repeating_stream(stream). The input is a string processed from left to right. Return a list containing the first character whose frequency is one after each character arrives, or None if no such character exists.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(stream) <= 5,000
  • The stream contains arbitrary single-character strings
  • Return one output value for each character in stream
  • Use None when no non-repeating character exists
