Find Inactive Customers

EasySQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Flipkart wants to identify customers who may need re-engagement because they have not placed an order recently. Using the customer and order data, evaluate activity as of 2025-08-31.

Write a PostgreSQL query to find customers who placed no order during the six-month period from 2025-02-28 through 2025-08-31, inclusive.

Requirements

  1. Return every customer with zero qualifying orders, including customers who have never ordered.
  2. Return customer_id, customer_name, and the number of orders in the period as recent_order_count.
  3. Exclude orders before the six-month window and orders after the as-of date.
  4. Sort the output by customer_id in ascending order.
