ExtraCash MoM Active User Growth

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a query to find the month-over-month growth rate of active users who have taken out an ExtraCash advance.

Use the users and extracash_advances tables. Count distinct users with an active account and a funded ExtraCash advance in each calendar month. Include months with no qualifying users when they fall between the first and last relevant advance month.

Output

  1. One row per calendar month, ordered chronologically.
  2. Columns: month_start, active_users, and mom_growth_rate.
  3. Return the growth rate as a percentage rounded to two decimal places. Return NULL when no prior-month comparison is available or the prior month has zero active users.
