External Stage to S3

EasyPython

Problem

Write a code to create external stage pointing to a bucket in s3.

Asked in the Technical round 1 stage. Implement a Python function that generates the Snowflake CREATE STAGE statement from a stage name, an S3 URL, and a storage integration name.

Input and Output

The function receives three strings and returns one SQL string. Quote identifiers with double quotes and escape embedded single quotes in string literals.

Constraints

  • All three inputs are non-empty strings
  • s3_url starts with s3://
  • The output uses the fixed clause order shown in the examples
  • Identifiers and string literals must be escaped

Function Signature
