SQL for Early Multi-Job Applicants

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to find the monthly active student users who applied to at least two jobs in their first week of registration.

Use the users and job_applications tables. Treat the first week as the interval from registration time, inclusive, through seven days later, exclusive. A user is active in a month when they submitted at least one application during that calendar month.

Output

  1. One row per active month and student user.
  2. Columns: activity_month, user_id, and monthly_applications.
  3. Include only qualifying users, ordered by activity_month ascending and user_id ascending.
