Detecting Duplicate Entries

EasyPython

Problem

Write a program that detects duplicate entries in a list.

Implement find_duplicates(items) to return each duplicated value once, in the order its second occurrence is encountered. Return an empty list when no value appears more than once. The input contains integers, and the returned list must preserve detection order.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(items) <= 10000
  • Each item is an integer
  • Return each duplicated value only once
  • Preserve the order in which duplicate values are first detected
