Your question is Designing Test Cases. Take a moment with it on the right.
Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).
Regularly, how would you design test cases for a software feature?
Explain how you move from requirements to test conditions, choose positive and negative coverage, identify boundary values and equivalence classes, and prioritize cases when time is limited. Include how you handle unclear requirements, dependencies, test data, regression coverage, and traceability.
The interviewer is checking whether you use a systematic risk-based process rather than relying on ad hoc happy-path testing. Discuss the structure of a good test case and how you decide when coverage is sufficient.
Scope: Answer from a functional QA perspective, including manual and automated testing considerations.
