Your question is Design Shopping Cart UI. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Android design: design the shopping cart in the Instacart app.

Asked in the Android design stage. Candidate says it is the same as others report.

Treat this as a practical mobile system design exercise. Explain the Android architecture, cart state model, persistence and synchronization strategy, handling of item or price changes, and the boundary between the cart and checkout. If proposing machine learning, clearly justify why it belongs in the cart experience rather than adding unnecessary complexity.
