Create a design document (non-coding take-home assessment) for the Forward Deployed Engineer role

Asked in the take-home stage. Sent instead of a coding-based take-home. Address the problem as a practical design exercise rather than an algorithm implementation.

Your document should:

1. Clarify ambiguous requirements and state explicit assumptions.
2. Define the end-to-end ML architecture, including data, training, evaluation, and serving.
3. Explain model and infrastructure choices with alternatives and tradeoffs.
4. Describe operational concerns, including latency, reliability, monitoring, feature drift, and training-serving skew.
5. Define how success would be measured offline and online.

Do not assume an unstated product, customer, workload, dataset, or company-specific metric. Identify missing information and explain what you would ask before implementation.
