Your question is Dealing With a Difficult Customer. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Tell me about a time when you had a difficult customer. Focus on a specific interaction where the customer was dissatisfied, demanding, or difficult to align with. Explain how you diagnosed the underlying concern, managed expectations, involved the right internal stakeholders, and took ownership of the outcome. The interviewer is looking for empathy, composure, prioritization, and disciplined follow-through. A strong response should use the STAR structure, distinguish the customer's stated complaint from the root issue, describe your specific actions, and quantify the business or relationship outcome where possible.
