Your question is Deal With Difficult Stakeholders. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

How would you deal with difficult stakeholders?

The interviewer is assessing how you manage disagreement, competing priorities, and resistance while maintaining productive relationships. Address how you would understand the stakeholder’s underlying concern, use evidence to align on trade-offs, and decide when to escalate. A strong response should be grounded in a specific experience, explain your actions rather than labeling someone as difficult, and show how you owned the outcome. Include the result, what you learned, and how you would apply that approach when working across Mastercard product, engineering, operations, or customer-facing teams.
