Python Dataset Processing Function

MediumPython

Problem

Write a function in Python to process and filter datasets for Solaya.

Implement process_and_filter_datasets(datasets, filters). datasets is a list of record lists, and each record is a dictionary with hashable scalar values. filters maps field names to lists of accepted values. Flatten the batches, keep records matching every filter, preserve original order, and do not mutate the inputs. Records missing a filtered field must be excluded. If filters is empty, return every record.

Constraints

  • 1 <= total number of records across all batches <= 10^4
  • Each record is a dictionary with hashable scalar values
  • Each filter value is a list of hashable scalar values
  • The output must preserve the order of the input records
  • Input records and filter collections must not be mutated
