Your question is Critical Problem Solving. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Tell me about a critical problem you encountered and how you solved it.

This was asked in the recruiter screen stage. Choose one specific example where the problem had meaningful consequences and required more than applying a routine fix. Explain how you identified the root cause, decided what to prioritize, involved the right people, and followed through to resolution.

A strong response should use STAR, distinguish symptoms from the underlying problem, explain your reasoning and tradeoffs, and state the measurable or observable result. Include what you learned and what you would change if you faced a similar problem again.
