Core Data Structures for Coding

MediumPython

Problem

What data structures should you be ready to use for coding interviews?

For this hands-on exercise, process operations using a stack, queue, set, and key-value map. Return one result for every operation, using null when an operation has no value to return.

The function accepts a list of operation arrays and returns a list of results. Each operation is [structure, action] or [structure, action, value].

Constraints

  • 1 <= operations.length <= 10^4
  • Each operation has two or three elements
  • Stack, queue, and set values are integers or strings
  • Map put operations use a two-element [key, value] pair
  • A pop, dequeue, or missing map key returns null

Function Signature

def process_operations(operations):
