Contains Common Strings

EasyPython

Problem

Given two lists of strings, return if list 1 contains anything in list 2.

Asked in the online assessment stage. Starter code reads built-in test cases from the console; do not delete it.

Input and Output

Implement def contains_any(list1, list2):. Return True if at least one string appears in both lists, otherwise return False. Matching is exact and case-sensitive. Duplicate strings do not change the result.

Constraints

  • Each list contains 0 to 10^4 strings.
  • Each string contains 1 to 100 characters.
  • Matching is exact and case-sensitive.
  • Duplicate strings do not affect the result.

Function Signature
