Code Review Priorities

MediumPython

Problem

What do you look for when reviewing code? Implement a lightweight Python source reviewer that identifies specified maintainability, safety, and formatting issues without executing the source. The function accepts one source-code string and returns issues in source-line order, preserving the rule order defined below. Each issue must contain line, issue, and severity fields.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(code) <= 500000
  • The input is a Python source-code string.
  • Whitespace-only lines do not produce trailing-whitespace findings.
  • Findings are returned in line order and fixed rule order.
