Your question is Closing Gaps in Data Pipelines. Take a moment with it on the right.

Problem

Describe a time when you identified a significant gap between business requirements and the existing data engineering pipeline. How did you resolve it?

Be specific about how you recognized the gap, clarified the actual business need, assessed its impact, and worked with engineering or other stakeholders to address it. Explain how you prioritized the solution among competing requests, handled disagreement or constraints, and validated that the final outcome met the requirement. A strong response should follow STAR, distinguish your individual contribution from the team's work, include measurable results where possible, and describe what you learned.
