Capitalize Each Word

EasyPython

Problem

Given a string of words, uppercase the first letter of each word. Run the unit tests to prove your answer.

Implement capitalize_words(text), which accepts a string and returns a string. Words are separated by whitespace, and the output should contain the transformed words separated by single spaces. Uppercase only the first character of each word; preserve the remaining characters.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(text) <= 10^5
  • Words are separated by whitespace
  • Each word contains at least one character
  • Only the first character of each word should be changed
