Your question is Caching for Heavy-Data Dashboard. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Which caching techniques would you use for a heavy-data dashboard?

Asked in the Round 2 stage as a system design question. Follow-ups probed why a particular strategy was chosen, including: Why did you choose that particular caching strategy?

Explain how you would design the cache hierarchy, determine what data belongs in each layer, handle invalidation and freshness, and prevent stale or inconsistent dashboard results. Address online versus batch computation, failure handling, observability, and how you would validate the design.
