Build a Simple Card Game

MediumPython

Problem

Describe how you would code a card game like Go Fish or similar simple game.

Implement a deterministic simulation for the supplied hands, deck, and requests. Each request is [asker, target, rank]: transfer all matching cards if the target has any; otherwise draw one card if available. After each action, remove every four-card set from the relevant hand and record its rank.

Use def play_go_fish(hands, deck, requests):. Return one sorted list of completed book ranks per player.

Constraints

  • 1 <= number of players <= 10
  • Each hand and the deck contain rank strings
  • There are at most four copies of any rank in the complete game
  • 0 <= number of requests <= 1000
  • Each request contains valid asker and target player indices
  • The asker and target are different players
