7-Day Rolling Average Exports

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Adobe Acrobat product analytics wants to smooth daily export volume so the team can spot trends without day-to-day noise. Write a SQL query to calculate the 7-day rolling average of document exports per user.

Requirements

  1. Aggregate exports to one row per user per export date.
  2. Compute a 7-day rolling average of daily exports for each user using a window function.
  3. Include only dates where the rolling average can be calculated from the available history in the table.
  4. Return the result ordered by user and date.
