I was scheduled after the recruitment team reached out, and they even shared preparation materials and a specific time slot. The technical interview was online with two people described as staff engineers.

What surprised me immediately was how rigid and disengaged the session felt. Neither interviewer turned on their camera or introduced themselves, and the questions came one by one in a theoretical style without much follow-up or real discussion. I remember being asked about the benefits of class components in React and when they should be used—even though modern React uses hooks for most cases. When I couldn’t align exactly with what they seemed to expect, the tone turned frustrating.
