Average Negative London, England

The recruiter call went well, and I even got a warning that their technical test process wasn’t working correctly. Hearing that ahead of time already set a strange tone, and once I saw how the test felt, I understood why they’d flagged it. I didn’t feel like the interview was interested in my background or what I knew—it came across as a tick-the-box exercise where the questions were evaluated in a very binary way.

Across the technical topics, the questions covered core Computer Science fundamentals like OS, networking, and OOP, but the emphasis landed on DSA and networking. I was also asked programming-related questions using Python, which made it clear they wanted breadth across fundamentals, not just one lane. When I couldn’t land the expected answers, I knew I wouldn’t move forward. It was disappointing, especially because the whole experience felt less like a two-way conversation and more like a gatekeeping check.

Difficult Negative Pune

The process for me ran through 4–5 rounds of interviews, and I ended up speaking with people at multiple levels, including a hiring manager and VP. I cleared every step, and there was even a salary discussion where everything progressed far enough that I received an LOI.

But then things fell apart after that point. Even after multiple follow-ups, they didn’t provide the offer letter. The whole situation left me unsure about the reason, because the process had felt like it was going in the right direction until the final paperwork stage. It was a frustrating ending after getting that far.
