My process started with an HR screening where the conversation centered on my past work and research experience, with a clear push into the technical details tied to the role. We talked through my background in a way that felt like they were mapping it directly to what the job would actually require, and there was also time spent on the company’s mission. It also helped that they reviewed the two positions I’d applied for and discussed how my experience lined up, so I could better understand which track fit me.

After that call, they walked me through the full interview flow: an HR screen first, then a round with the hiring manager, followed by a take-home assignment, then a phone interview, and finally an onsite interview. I remember realizing the process would be fairly structured—multiple touchpoints across different stages, not just a single technical screen. I also learned that additional interviews would be added later, though the core sequence they described was already clear by the end of the HR conversation.
