I went through a quick, fairly straightforward process: two technical rounds followed by an HR discussion. Everything moved fast—at one point I was already getting the offer letter in about ten days—so the momentum surprised me. The interviews leaned heavily toward practical backend plus some frontend.

Across the technical rounds, my focus ended up being mostly backend: I was asked about backend and frontend together, but roughly seventy percent of the questions were from backend topics. In one of the conversations I covered Node.js fundamentals like middleware and REST APIs, including JWT authentication and asynchronous programming. On the frontend side, we touched React hooks such as useState and useEffect and talked about component lifecycle and state management, plus conditional rendering. Databases came up too; I worked through MongoDB and MySQL, including schema design and query/join style questions.

I cleared the first round, and then the second round caught me off guard. While I expected the questions to stay within a familiar syllabus, the interviewer asked ReactJS questions and pushed more React content than I was ready for.

I tried hard to handle the practical test as well, but the overall feeling was that the second round drifted beyond what I expected. On top of the React emphasis, I was also asked about my roadmap for AI, which was completely outside the material I had been focusing on. That combination made the second round feel misaligned, and I ended up getting rejected even though I had done well enough to reach that stage.

Coding Environment & Format

Candidates reported mixed experiences with the coding environment, including challenges with IDE access and unusual setups requiring multiple devices. Some interviews involved 'blind coding' without compiler support, which added to the difficulty and stress of the technical assessments.

Behavioral & Values Assessment

The HR rounds often include discussions about role fit, expectations, and salary, but candidates noted variability in the quality of feedback and closure after interviews. Some felt the HR process was poorly managed, leading to frustration over lack of communication.

Candidate Preparation & Expectations

Many candidates expressed that their preparation did not align with the actual interview content, particularly regarding the emphasis on practical scenarios over traditional algorithm questions. This mismatch led to feelings of being unprepared or caught off guard during technical rounds.
