I experienced a slow, drawn-out process where the biggest surprise wasn’t the difficulty so much as the pace. I got pulled into four interviews spanning about a month, and each one was roughly an hour. The conversations themselves felt okay—nothing felt completely unfair—but the waiting between stages dragged.

I also felt like the feedback loop ran on its own schedule. I went in expecting it to be tougher than it ended up being, and I even walked into the process with the mindset that it might be more of a practice run. That mindset helped, because when it didn’t work out, it didn’t feel totally shocking.

The process started with an initial online assessment, and I passed that. After that, I moved into a sequence of interview rounds that totaled four interviews. Three of them were coding-focused, and there was one additional round that was behavioral.

What I felt most strongly was relief just to get a call back at all—by the time I was in the later stages, I felt like I was already getting a second chance that I hadn’t expected. The coding rounds were the core of the evaluation, and the behavioral round added a different lens.
