What is a Research Scientist at Yoh?
As a Research Scientist at Yoh, you serve as a pivotal bridge between cutting-edge scientific innovation and the operational excellence required to advance drug discovery pipelines. Whether focusing on Biophysics or Cancer Biology, your role is centered on the precise characterization of molecular interactions and the mechanistic understanding of therapeutic targets. You are not just executing experiments; you are the technical lead responsible for interpreting complex data that directly informs Lead Optimization and SAR (Structure-Activity Relationship) strategies.
This position demands a high level of independence, as you will often be tasked with designing experimental workflows, troubleshooting technical challenges in real-time, and coordinating with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to scale your research efforts. By working within the Lead Discovery or Oncology teams, you contribute to a collaborative environment where your findings influence the trajectory of novel small molecule inhibitors. Success in this role requires a blend of rigorous laboratory expertise and the ability to communicate scientific insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made at every stage of the development cycle.
