What is a Data Analyst at YMCA of Greater New York?
The Data Analyst at the YMCA of Greater New York plays a pivotal role within the Research, Evaluation & Strategy (RES) department. Positioned at the intersection of technology, operations, and community impact, this role is responsible for translating complex datasets into actionable operational insights. The YMCA of Greater New York serves over half a million New Yorkers across 24 branches, making the accuracy and integrity of its data infrastructure crucial for strategic decision-making, fund development, marketing, and financial health.
In this position, you will act as the primary custodian of data quality and reporting solutions, with a heavy focus on the Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform, including Sales Cloud and the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to monitor program metrics, evaluate community impact, and build robust visualization tools using Tableau and Salesforce. Your work directly empowers leadership to make informed, data-driven choices that strengthen youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility across New York City.
This is an exceptionally rewarding role for an analytical professional who wants their technical skills to have a tangible, positive impact on the community. Rather than focusing solely on commercial metrics, your daily efforts will measure and amplify the success of life-changing community programs, requiring a balance of rigorous technical capability and genuine cultural competency.
