I went through an interview process where things started with positive momentum but never fully reached the later stages. I had an initial round that felt straightforward, and I ended up getting encouraging feedback afterward. When the next steps didn’t happen, I eventually learned that the role had already been taken, so there wasn’t any real push for additional interviews on my side.
For another attempt with the same kind of overall arc, I ended up in a longer sequence: a recruiter touchpoint and then a hiring manager screening, followed by a loop-style set of four live sessions. That loop included a full-stack live coding round, a system design discussion, and behavioral/collaboration discussion involving a designer or PM. Even with a structured format and clear topics, I still didn’t convert to an offer—either because the process concluded without me, or because the position was already aligned with someone else by the time my next steps would have happened.

I didn’t end up passing, but the interviews didn’t feel chaotic or unfair—they were just demanding in a way that required you to be sharp across multiple domains.
