I went through a front-end-heavy style of questioning that made the early rounds feel like they were testing fundamentals more than overall architecture. One initial screen focused on JavaScript concepts and details like how var/let/const behave, the event loop, event bubbling and capturing, and things such as hoisting, IIFEs, and common CSS/HTML patterns. It was the kind of interview where small terminology gaps could matter, because the questions were specific.

Later, I got put into a broader practical build: a TypeScript React project in a time-boxed environment where I had to fix CSS issues, fetch variable-length data from an external API, render and sort it, and then support user actions that reorganized components. I got far enough that most of the task felt nearly finished, but I didn’t reach the Redux part due to time. That made the session feel like it ended mid-flight, and it definitely impacted how I felt walking out.

I went through a fairly typical sequence where the first human step was smooth, but the technical part didn’t land for me. I started with an HR phone call that went well, then moved into a technical interview where I ended up failing. Part of it was genuinely preparation, but what stuck with me was how the coding expectation felt like it required writing from scratch with not enough time to properly finish.

I remember that after I didn’t pass, I still got contacted—later—through another HR call to let me know the result. It wasn’t a long, drawn-out explanation, but the fact that they followed back at all helped confirm that they had a clear status on me.
