Difficult Positive United States

After a screening step, I ended up with a pretty demanding set of technical rounds. I had two technical interviews and, between them, an aptitude test that tested more than just memorized facts. Across the technical conversations, they kept pulling me back to my internship and my final-year project, and then went deeper into the technical side with questions that felt genuinely tough.

The interviewer was approachable and helped me relax, which was a relief given how hard the questions were. Even so, I wasn’t able to crack the problem-solving questions the way they expected. Overall it felt more like assessing technical thinking and depth than trying to coach me through it, and the experience left me thinking I’d underestimated how challenging that technical portion would be.

Difficult Positive Mongolia

I went through a streamlined online interview with a panel of four to five people. The session lasted about 30 minutes, and the questions followed the arc of my experience—from project start all the way through to handover. The panel approach made the conversation feel focused, and I was constantly connecting my role and decisions across that lifecycle.

After the technical portion, there was HR feedback and an onboard process step. The overall flow felt simpler than I expected, especially because the conversation stayed tightly centered on what I’d done and how I’d carried projects through to completion.
